History

The journal began its activities in 2001, as the result of a joint between researchers from diverse disciplinary origin who shared the same interests in the development of tourism as a new area of scientific knowledge. With the institutional support of Átomo Publisher since the beginning, RTD remained throughout more than ten years as a standalone publication, recognized nationally, contributing to the dissemination of tourism as an important source of community development.
